Woodthorpe Garden Centre holds the esteemed title of being the birthplace of British Garden Centres, opening its doors in 1987 opposite Woodthorpe Leisure Park. Before its opening, founders Charles and Robert Stubbs sold leylandii along roadsides, igniting their passion for the garden centre industry. Featuring an array of plants, Woodthorpe offers everything from gardening sundries, tools and outdoor living to enhance your garden. Complementing our plant selection, discover a delightful assortment of gifts, homeware, and furniture. There is also an onsite restaurant, maze and playground for little ones. Perfect for a day out, the centre also offers Woodthorpe Leisure Park opposite, also operated by the Stubbs family. With holiday homes, a restaurant, and an 18-hole golf course, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
