Uniting Lincolnshire and beyond in a colourful celebration of LGBTQIA+ rights and diversity
At East Coast Pride, our journey began in late 2023 with a vision to create a more inclusive and vibrant community for the LGBTQIA+ individuals and their allies in the coastal regions of Lincolnshire. What started as a grassroots effort by a dedicated group of volunteers has blossomed into a remarkable celebration of diversity and equality.
Now, as a Registered Charity, our mission is clear: to advocate, celebrate, and support the LGBTQIA+ community on the East Coast of Lincolnshire. We dream of a future where everyone, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, can flourish in an atmosphere of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Our approach is rooted in the belief that by emphasising culture, particularly through the arts and sports, we can create a supportive and empowering community where LGBTQIA+ individuals can freely express themselves and embrace their identities. We strive to eliminate barriers and foster understanding, acceptance, and respect for all through creative arts projects, sports events, and community-led initiatives.
Our organisation is built on the foundation of promoting LGBTQIA+ awareness and education, supporting mental health and wellbeing, advocating for equal rights and social justice, and building a stronger community. We are committed to organising Pride events, cultural opportunities, and activities that strengthen the sense of community among LGBTQIA+ individuals and their allies, fostering connections, solidarity, and mutual support within the East Coast region.
